Privacy Policy

What this covers

This policy explains how Navly handles information when you use the Navly website and iOS app. It covers account details, travel content, device permissions, purchases, and service activity.

Information we handle

Depending on the features you use, Navly may handle your email, name, sign-in provider identifier, profile preferences, trips, saved places, itinerary content, documents, chat content, and purchase or entitlement information.

If you allow a permission, the app may use location while you use map and travel features. The app also receives technical information needed to keep sessions secure, deliver requests, prevent abuse, and diagnose reliability problems.

Release builds use Sentry for reliability diagnostics. Depending on the event, this can include crash reports, performance and hang data, sampled profiles, diagnostic logs and breadcrumbs, network/runtime metadata, and masked interaction signals from error-session replay. Navly disables Sentry's default PII sending and masks replay text and images. These diagnostics are used to operate and improve app reliability, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, provide and personalize Navly, keep trips and maps synchronized, process purchases, respond to support requests, protect the service, and understand reliability and feature usage.

If you enable the optional setting to help improve Navly features, we use product usage patterns linked by a private analytics identifier for product improvement. You can change that choice later in Privacy Settings and read more about the data covered by this preference on the Help improve Navly page.

AI data sharing

With your explicit permission, Navly sends your chat messages and attachments, relevant trip details, travel preferences, and location when included to OpenAI and Google (Gemini) to answer your requests and help plan your travel. These are third-party AI service providers.

This permission is separate from accepting the Terms of Use and from sharing product usage data linked by a private analytics identifier. It is off until you choose to enable it during onboarding or in Settings > Privacy. Without it, AI Chat is unavailable; you can still manage trips and use maps. You can turn it off in the same settings to stop new AI requests. This does not recall information already sent to a provider.

Provider processing is also described in the OpenAI Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.

Sharing and storage

We share information only as needed to provide Navly, process App Store transactions, operate infrastructure, provide reliability monitoring through service providers such as Sentry, respond to lawful requests, or protect the service. We do not use your information for advertising tracking.

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, account and security requirements, and applicable legal or financial obligations. When you delete your account, product data is deleted or detached according to our deletion process; limited billing or legal records may remain for the period required by law.

Your choices

You can review privacy preferences in the app, disable optional permissions in iOS Settings, and request account help or deletion by contacting hi@navly.tr. You can manage subscriptions from your Apple account.
